Glaser. 8012 Bach Violinkonserter Nilla Pierrou is featured in these versions of Bach's violin Concertos in A Minor and E Major. Well-known nightclub performer in the US as well as Europe, performs her most requested original songs. Music that makes you come back for more. 8104 Reubke, Jongen, Absil. Torvald Torén performs Romantic organ music on the organ in Hedvig Eleonora Church. Torvald Torén is one of the foremost authorities in Scandinavia on Romantic organ music as well as being a sought after concert performer. Compositions by Reubke (Der 94ste Psalm Sonate), Jongen (Sonata Eroica Op.94) and Absils (Trois Pieces pour Grand Orgue, OP 127). 8105 Hello Stranger, Bibb and Deivert perform folk songs from both the black and white poor man's traditions. This music is performed simply, with few instruments, while done in a spirit that draws upon many more influences outside the traditional purist concepts of what folk music should sound like. New music built on a older, solid foundation. 8106 Ani Gazarian Piano is a sought after concert pianist and teacher. She oscillates between France and Sweden to give her concerts and "work-shops". This performance contains, Prokofiev Sonata no 2 op 14, Arno Babadjanian an Armenian composer, some piano pieces, and Aram Khatchaturian Toccata-Allegro Marcatissimo and Sonatine. 8107 D Buxtehude. The English concert organist Margaret Phillips performs music by Buxtehude on the new organ in Lima Church. Included in the repertoire are "Te Deum Laudamus", "Prelude, Fugue and Chaconne in C Major", "Passacaglia in D Minor" and "Toccata in F Major". 8108 Changing Moods. David Patrick playing on the organ at the Holy Trinity Church vle Sweden. Reinberger's Sonata No. 14, Harold Darke's "Changing Moods", and a variety of interesting modern compositions. 8109 Golden Apples of the Sun. Eric Bibb does it again! Eric creates a special atmosphere surrounding his original Swedish-African-American-Latin-Oriental music. 8110 Debussy Fauré Violin-sonatas. Claude Debussy's "sonata in G Major" and "La Plus Que Lente" and "Sonata in A Major" by Gabriel Faure' are featured on this album. 8111 Uppsala Akademiska Kammarkör. is one of the most famous and respected chamber choirs in Sweden. They present works of Lidholm, Pizetti, Polenc, and Sch önberg on this beautifully, done album. 8202 Olsson Sjögren Guilmant Rune Engsö Organ One of the finest examples of Swedish organ building from the Romantic era, is featured on this album by Rune Engsö. He plays works by Guilmant, Olsson and Sjögren in his inimitable style. 8203 Vierne Symphony no 1 Carillon and Arabesque. Torvald Torén, organ performs a series of Vierne organ symphonies. He is known for his interpretation of French Romantic organ music in which he was a student under Maurice Durufle. 8204 Vierne Symphony no 2, Aubade Impromptu, Toccata is the 2nd in the series of Vierne symphonies. Like the other records in this series it is recorded in the Hedvig Eleonora Church in Stockholm. This particular cupola church has an exeptional acoustic quality that produces a fine clear ambience. It enhances the inherent tone of the organ while retaining a distinct sound quality. 8205 Vierne Symphony no 4 in the Vierne series, played on the Grönlund organ built in 1976 that is featured in the other records in this series. That is one of the best examples of organ making in Sweden and some of the pipes used are salvaged from other older organs that were used in the church, the oldest one being from 1868. The case for the organ was designed by C.F. Adlerkrantz and dates back to 1762. The music on this record is the 4th Symphonie, Andantino and Clair de Lune. 8206 Vierne Symphony no 5. The specifications of this organ were drawn up by Anders Grönlund the organ maker, and Torvald Torén, the instrumentalist on these records. The organ contans 58/III stops. This record contains Symphonie no 5. 8207 Vierne Symphony no 6. Torvald Torén organist, studied under Floor Peters in Belgium, Maurice Duruflé in France, and qualified for degrees in both piano and organ at the Stockholm College of Music. He has been a teacher at that institution since 1983. The pieces on this recording are Symphonie No.6 and Triptyque Opus 58. 8300 Test Record 3. Dynamics on the previous two we explored the grammophone's ability to reproduce an accurate stereo image (even in depth) and to reproduce the timbre of instruments and voices. Our aim this time is to illustrate what we mean by dynamics and let you check that your system can handle them. If you are excited by cannon shots, steam locomotives and helicopters, you are going to be disappointed. 8301 Klosters Orgel. Margaret Phillips, former pupil of Ralph Downes and Marie-Claire Alain, was principal prizewinner in the Fellowship diploma examinations of the Royal College of Organist's in England, 1971. She has toured extensively abroad and has made several record albums. This record features works by Marcel Dupre, Maurice Duruflue, Jean Guillou and Jean Alain. 8303 C.W.Rendahl Karlstad Motet Society, the director Yngve Sirén perform here music of the Swedish composer Claes Wilhelm Rendahl. Five Liturgy songs for choir and organ. Introduction and fugue in E flat major, ten songs for the christian ceremonial holidays and King Davids psalms. 8307 Henrik Cervin is the church organist in Gothenburg's Gustavi Domkyrka and studied under Alf Linder in Sweden and Flor Peters in Belgium. This record features works by several Swedish composers. Among them, Gösta Lundborg, Sven-Erik Johansson and Per-Olof Sjögren. 8404 Musica Sonora is a Swedish ensemble that plays baroque music. Among the works included are J.C.Bach "Quintet D dur", Telemann's "Quartet in F", Boismorter's "Sonata in G minor" and Quantz "Trio Sonata in C minor". 8405 Bellefleur. is a recording of folk inspired guitar music by the Dutch composer Pieter van der Staak. He performs together with the Czechoslovakian guitarist Milan Zelenka. 8406 Landgrens Kapell We have revived here one of the many jazz bands who played both for the listeners and dancers in the early 40's. Landgrens Kapell started New Year's eve 1936 and has continued with a pair of the original members. The music here is "Dust of that old piano", "Asleep in the deep", "March Winds", "On the sunny side of street", "Somebody loves me", "Wolverine Blues", "I surrender dear", "Caravan", "Is you or is you not ain't my baby", "Big house blues", "Ostrich walk", and "March of the Bobcats". 8602 De sovande Mästarna. Bo Ahlin guitar virituoso, composer and living visionary. Here with his own compositions. It is folkmusic with a little classical, but it is intimate and warming music. The titles are "Hulingen", "Mid-summer", "Christmas feeling", "Wind games", "Miniature suite", "Next love", "Fantasy", "Carin" and "The Sleeping Masters". 8701 O Lindgren Cello Concerto, Dimitri Schostakovitch Cello Sonata Op 40. The music of Olof Lidgren is based in Edit Södergrans' dictate, Pain, Schertzo and Triumph of Existing. The Jubilatte Choir under guidance of Astrid Riska with Lars Blomberg as Cello soloist, Monica Groop mezzo soprano and Anssi Hirvonen Tenor. The Cello sonata is performed by Lars Blomberg with Radoslav Kvapil on piano. 8802 J.S.Bach, Triosonatas. Torvald Torén Plays the Triosonatas on the organ in Leufsta Bruk. That is one of the finest historical instruments built by Johan Niclas Cahman between the years 1726 and 28. 8901 Tournemire Organ Works. Torvald Torén organist. One of the most exciting composers in the organ literature is presented here in the works. Verriere from L'orgue Mystique no 14, Toccata sur un choral from L'orgue Mystique no 18, In Assumptione B.M.V from L'orgue Mystique no 30, suite Evacotrice op 74 and Deux Fresques symphoniques sacre'es. 8902 Widor Symphonie Gothique and Symphonie Romane. Torvald Torén organist. Two organ symphonies from one of the great masters, melodious and singable but at the same time expressive and dramatic. This rendering was done for the organ that was built by kerman et Lund in 1976. However, shortly afterwards, the Katarina Church was burned down and totally destroyed. 9102 Petr Eben, a portrait. Shows a choice of the
