A big part of my spear time I spend on going out and fish. Every summer I will work at a summercamp in a place called "Marielund". This place is located on an island called Ekerö in Stockholm's archipilago. During this time I often row out with a couple of kids, trying to catch some fishes. Unfortunately it seems like that my noisy kids on board are frightening the fishes away so often we are rowing home without any results. During the nights though, when the kids have gone to bed, the leaders will take out the boat and fish. Without noisy kids it's calm and peaceful out at the sea and at once it's more profitable for fishing. The leaders often arrives at the shore with some big pikes (gädda).
The summercamp is my only
oppurtunity every year to fish a lot. During the rest of the year I'm not fishing
very often. Sometimes I go out to "Nacka Strand" or to "Älgö" to catch some
harrings.
The most exciting with fishing is the drilling - when you have the fish hooked.
For the fish the drill is a battle between life and death. As a fisherman you
must have patience and good technique to succed in drilling. You mustn't be
to hard or to coward.
When you have catched fish you'll have a good time spending on preparing the
fish because eventually you will serve the fish as a good dish on the table.
Here are some of my favorite receipes for the most common fishes...
Spike (Gädda)
Aborre (?)
Gös (?)
