Quite recently I discovered that dancing is something incredibly interesting and fun. I love dancing in nightclubs and different discos but except that I also regularly dance in a dancecenter in town. Recently I have been instructed in a dance called "West Coast Swing".

West Coast Swing (WCS) is a very useful dance because it works with almost every type of music. You even can dance WCS to techno though it will feel a little confusing. However the proper and real WCS music you'll find in jazz and soul from the 50's during the time WCS was first discovered.

History...
WCS is considered to be discovered during the 2nd World War in Germany and in America. In Germany this dancestyle was banned cause the government thought it was too "entertaining". Instead they demanded a marschlike music with a marschlike dancestyle like foxtrott and tango. Despite restrictions people danced Swing in secret. When the dancepremises was checked by guards people rapidly changed to foxtrott.

My dancelessons this term were a lot of fun even though the course was a little expensive, but with due consideration it has given me a good time and proof that I'm a hell of a dancer. I want to continue dancing and actually my next goal is tango or salsa.
