What I do for a living...

Well I work at the Dept. of Medical Engineering, Karolinska Institute, Stockholm , Sweden. I work on a project called Ectomography, which aims at bringing 3 dimensional functional imaging to the bed-side of the critically ill patient. For this purpose we have desigend and built three prototypes of a mobile gamma camera, which can perform tomographic studies. We call the system Cardiotom. Currently we are focused on studies concerning myocardial infarction(MI), and one goal is to be able to diagnose MI in the acute phase, when the patient is admitted in the emergency room. Also we can use it in the intensive care unit.
