In late 19th century a German physicist, Ferdinand Braun discovered the so called the semiconductor. That mean that some materials, silicon, germanium are capable to conduct electricity. He organized them between copper as good conductor and rubber who is a god isolator.
The discovery had its brake trough in the late1940th then the first transistor was developed. His research made it possible to make a product as the microprocessor as well.
