Datorisering och datapolitik, Mats Bäck,1983  page 13-22

Explaining computerizing in a historical point of view.

According to the continue perspective he writes that computer developments is a process combined to the human development. The spaces for spontaneous and uncountable happenings are decreasing. We are moving our selves from the physical world, the nature.

To speed up this process computers are involved a great deal of the happening.

According to the "diskontinuitetsperspektivet" it point out the revolutionary about computer technique and its implementation in society.

A computer is a machine new, but still a machine, and it is going to change our whole society from the fundamentals.

From musclepower to thought help.

To understand the that is going on in the society we will need some references in the history made by

Norbert Wiener and it look like this:

Late 1800- century concentrated muscle help- steam machine. Late 1900-century distributed musclehelp- explosion engine electricity by wire.

1950- concentrated mind help- "steamcomputer"

1970- distributed mind help- terminals online by wire or satellite, mini and microcomputers.

In this example, he is describing how human development moves from large concentrated musclepower located geographic factories to the small factories geographic spread out.
