WARNING! - Enabling any of the SET commands may create some problems for you. Although most all will reset to default upon a reconnect, ONLY YOU are responsible for knowing what you set on or set off.
SH/STATE [call] will show status (of some) of your SET functions.
SET/LOGIN or SET/NOLOGIN -and- SET/LOGOUT or SET/NOLOGOUT Allows local user login and/or logout alert messages to be sent to you.
SET/PAGE # i.e. SET/PAGE 100 Sets number of lines before getting "Press ENTER to continue..." prompt.
SET/WWV or SET/NOWWV Allows whether you want to receive WWV announcements.
SET/ANNOUNCEments or SET/NOANNOUNCEments Allows whether you want to receive TO ALL announcements.
SET/TALK or SET/NOTALK Allows whether you want to receive TALK messages.
SET/BEEP or SET/NOBEEP Enables or disables the beep on announcements.
SET/DX or SET/NODX Allows whether you want to receive DX announcements. (Really!)
SET/FILTER [options] or SET/NOFILTER [options]
SET/FILTER/BAND=160,80,40 ALL filters all prefixes on CW & SSB for 160,80,40 meters
SET/FILTER/CW JA,VK,ZL filters JA,VK,ZL prefixes on CW for all bands
SET/FILTER/SSB JA,VK,ZL filters JA,VK,ZL prefixes on SSB for all bands
SET/FILTER JA,VE filters JA,VE prefixes on CW & SSB for all bands
SET/FILTER/CW/BAND=17,12 JA filters JA prefix on CW for 17 & 12 meters
SET/FILTER/SSB/BAND=20 JA filters JA prefix on SSB for 20 meters
* Using SET/NOFILTER in the same manner removes any part or all of any previous entry. You can check a filter setting with SH/FILTER [pfx], i.e. SH/FILTER JA. This is currently the only way to check a filter setting, is by entering a prefix.
To create a user command file, type in the command: UPLOAD/USERCMD. Once you get the prompt to begin entering, type in the commands you want to be executed. Here's an example session:
UPL/USERCMD
Ready to receive file. Ctrl/Z to terminate, ctrl/Y to cancel
SH/U
DI/N
SH/WWV/1
SH/DX/3
SH/ANN
SET/PAGE 100
-press Ctrl/z or /EXIT-
SM3UDH.CMD uploaded to the USERCMD area
Commands shown here will provide: 1) Users on the local node, 2) New messages, 3) most current WWV announcement, 4) last 3 DX announcements, 5) last 5 TO ALL annoucements, and 6) sets number of page lines to 100 before the "Press ENTER to continue..." prompt is sent.
Now type EXECUTE to enable the file. It will be, however, executed each time you log on.
To review your user command file, use the command, TYPE/USERCMD call.CMD ie. to view my file, I would enter TYPE/USERCMD SM3OSM.CMD. If you need to change any entry in the file, you need to redo it completely.
