Amiga really was the first multimedia homecomputer to reach the market. It has formed the computer industrt to the degree that we saw cheap PC:s enter the market a couple of years later. Of course, then the Amiga was out-dated and lost it's grip on the consumers but it had reigned ruthlessly for several years.
The piracy scene evolved a lot on this plattform, and soo did the Demo Scene. Of course they already existed since the c64 time but it reached a different level when the Amiga with it's flourishing graphics and great sound made it possible for people to code vivid and great games/demos.
