When Square first released their Final Fantasy game for the 8-Bit Nintendo System in 1987,
They couldn't have had an idea how BIG the series would be!
Now the Final Fantasy existst on several different consoles and using different
techniques, The latest in the series, Final Fantasy VII and it's followers (VIII, IX) uses
real 3D polygons making the graphic outstanding.
More Final Fantasy games are under production I think even Final Fantasy XII is under
production, "Life if good" ;)
On this page there will be information and thoughts about Final Fantasy.
Mainly Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VI, since those are the only one's that I've
completed. some info About FFVII might be added too.
I dont think I'll put up anything about the other FF games for gameboy.
But is time allows me to play them of course I'll write about them!
Currently I'm playing thru Final Fantasy VII again and taking notes on everything about
Sephiroth/Cloud/Zach to try to make a document with each of their stories. I think
Sephiroth' s not such a bad guy after all...
What the hell do I mean with that? Well wait and see, as soon as I complete the document
it will be here and I really hope it will cause some debate!
As soon as I play another of them, information will be available here!
Final Fantasy I - Nintendo
Havent played for more then some minutes. Graphics and music quality sucks,
the battles are slow but if the story is good I'll play it more sometime.
Final Fantasy II - Nintendo
Dont think I've played at all
Final Fantasy III - Nintendo
Havent played at all
Final Fantasy IV - Super Nintendo
As Cecil, a former commander of the royal Red Wing air force you get a mission
from the king to follow, but it shows that things are not as they shoud.
Havent played for more than about an hour but it seems ok, old graphics and music but
I'm gonna give it a chance.
Final Fantasy V - Super Nintendo
Meteorites comes chrashing down on the world, suddenly the wind stops,
the king leaves to find out whats happened to one of the elemental chrystals. when
he does not come back His daughter Lenna leaves to find him and soon meets the adventurer
Butz.
Havent played at all, All I know is what a friend told me about it, he loved it!
Final Fantasy VI - Super Nintendo
In a world ruled by a ruthless empire the young girl Terra Branford, wakes up after a
long time of mind control. She gets involved in the struggle to save the world from the
evil empire controlled by Emperor Gestahl.
Final Fantasy VI is together with FFVII the best RPG yet, The story is wonderful, the
characters are alive and the music is a masterpiece.
Of course the graphics aren't as advanced as FFVII but it is still very good.
When I, after hours of playing, completed FFVI, I felt sick, I didn't want it to end, I
wanted to continue follow the destiny of Terra and her friends. This was the very first
time I've felt like this for a game.
Final Fantasy VII - Playstation and PC
In a dark and ruthless world where the lifeforce of the planet is used to
create electricity and to use magic the young mercenary Cloud Strife joins a local group
of freedom fighters to stop the megacorporation Shinra from using the energy. He'll meet
old friends and old foes on a quest that extends to be much more then to stop Shinra.
Final Fantasy VII is one hell of a game, it's large, got superb music and the most
complex and intriguing story I've ever seen. The charaters is very much alive and during
the game you feel like you know them. This is the only game where I actually got wet eyes
on one place...
The drawback of the game is that it tends to be too "dark and serious" sometimes
and I had to play it twice to follow the story completely.
Final Fantasy VIII - Playstation and PC
Squall Leonhart, one of the best Gunblade specialists in the world, Gets
thrown in a fullscale war and is first assigned to help the attacked country, but as the
conflict escalates and new enemies appear as well as old friends Squall is forced to take
up the struggle not only with a powerful sorceress but with his own emotions and memories.
Final Fantasy VIII...
What should I say, What happened? My feelings for this game is severely split, one half
dislikes it alot and one half just loves it...
I just can't set my fingers on why? Maybe the characters are too human?, But one the other
hand, the interaction between Squall and the others could be the part that was superb with
the game, the videos are outstanding, the music suits but not as well as in FF7 or 6, the
story is less complex then n FF7 but still quite heavy. The difficulty is weird,
some monsters are almost impossible and others are no match at all. The magic and
meny system was really messed up too :(
But it was worth the money.
Final Fantasy IX - Playstation
Zidane Tribal, Thief and a ladies man, kidnaps,
along with his gang, the princess of Alexandria. Along with the group, the royal Knight
Steiner follows as well as a passing by black-mage boy, The escape from the kingdom fails
and they crashes in a forest, foreced to make a way back.
Final Fantasy IX, wow what a game! wonderful graphics, excellent music and well done
characters, could be the very best game of FF, haven't played that lonng but I am
impressed. Very impressed. Reminds very much of the atmosphere in FF6, no matter the cost
FFIX s worth it!
Final Fantasy IS the Life!
