A.K.N.E.

The unofficial page of an amateurtheatregroup.

Who are we? At the moment A.K.N.E consists
of six people. Maria Vejdal, Ingela
Persson, Nina Wikström, Björn
Blomqvist, Niclas Beijar, Magnus
Sederström.

What do we do? What we remember the best,
is the annual ´night-of-culture´ in
Oxelösund, which by the way lasted
a whole week that year (1996).

We performed a series of short scenes,
all material made mostly by two of the guys;
Niclas and Magnus.
Do we think back at it with pride?
I guess not, but it was fun and gave us
confidence to continue working on our
common interest - acting!

History The very first gathering of people,
that eventually would become A.K.N.E,
took place one september evening two
years ago (1995), at the library of Oxelösund.
A.K.N.E. still consists of the same crowd
as then, except for the loss of one member. What does A.K.N.E.
stand for? Well, to be honest, I think we chose
the capitols before deciding the
content of them. `Alla knäppskallars
Novisa Ensemble` would translate
something like; All Weirdoes Novise
Ensemble, which has got no subsense
what so ever!
A.K.N.E. is member of the national
theatersociety of Sweden - Riksteatern

The play was setup by four members of A.K.N.E. and was
performed in a beautiful old house in Oxelösund old town.

Once upon a time, the city could only be entered from the sea,
and in those days, Oxelösund inn and pub, was and still is situated
next door to this house. There the sailors gathered to drink after
a long journey. That place also has a story to tell, a lovestory,
about the pubowners beautiful daughter and the son of a poor
fisherman.
For the past two years A.K.N.E. has performed this outdoor-act,
and made a huge success!
