Before I continue. I just want you to know that HTML is by noway a programing language (like Java or C++) It's a Markup Language.
So with simple words. You are teling your browser how you want your page to look in it.
So lets say that you want your text to be bold. Think...!
Yes! You tel your broser. 'This part I want in bold text' And you do the same thing if you want your text to be larger.
| <B> | Bold | Bold text | </B> |
| <I> | Italic | Italic Text | </I> |
| <U> | Underlined | Underliend text | </U> |
| <FONT SIZE="+/-n"> |
n = Numer. Do you want the text to be larger or smaler? | </FONT> | |
| <FONT COLOR="x"> | x = Color code [Color Codes] | </FONT> | |
| <FONT FACE="?"> |
="Arial,Fixed,Modern,Courier, and so on". If first type dont exsit, it goes on to the next in order. | </FONT> |
Bold, Italic and underlined text with font color reed and size +1<FONT SIZE="+1" COLOR="ff0000">
<I><B><U> Italic bold and underlined text with font size +1 and reed color</U>></B>>/I>
</FONT>It is important that you close the tags in the same order as you open them. Just so you dont close the FONT SIZE when you wanted to close the Bold tag.
| <Hn> | Heading |
n = Numer. Range from 1-6. 1 is the largest. Look at the top of this page... Yes, thats the <H2> Got it *s* :-) | </Hn> |
| <BR> | Line Break | Start at a new line. | |
| <P> | Paragraph | (2st <BR>) Used when you want to start at a new 'chapter' | |
| <CENTER> | Centers the text or your picture. | </CENTER> | |
| <ING SRC="*.*"> | The adres to where your picture is located. And ofcourse, the picture name. Pics you can use are GIF or JPG. | ||
| <A HREF="url"> |
To make a link to a difrent page. <A HREF="url">The link</A> | </A> |
<A HREF="url"><IMG SRC="pic.name"></A>
What do you think this is? :-)Belive it or not. But with only thees tags you can make a simple and a rather good looking page of your own. And you should be able to 'borow' things that other have made. And to some limit. Be able to figure out there HTML code and learn form them.
There are mutch more than this to learn, but hey, it's a good start :-)
