Here are some facts about the

Backyard Babies!!!

The band remains of four members from Nässjö in Småland. And they are all born in 73. They started to play in 1987 and it´s the same members are still playing Rock´n Roll.

There influences are much 70's glam and punk rock band such as "New York Dolls", "Kiss", "Ramones", "Sex Pistols", Social Distortion" and the band who have meant most to them are "Hanoi Rocks" with the Finish glam-star Mike Monroe.

They have relesed two albums "Diesel and Power" 94 (buy the record and check out Nicke, he looks a little different....)and "Total 13" 98, and an EP called "Knockouts" 97. And a couple of singles, ex: "Look at you" and "Highlights" and now for a couple of weeks they released a 7" that is called "is it still alright to smile". On the Highlights single they did a song with the old "Hanoi Rocks" star Mike Monroe called "Rocker" where Monroe plays saxophone and sings with Nicke.

They release all there records on Vinyl and CD, it´s a better rock sound on the Vinyl.

I have seen the Backyard Babies at the "Hultsfreds festivalen" and at the "Malmö festivalen" and when I saw them on "Malmö festivalen" I met Johan before the gig so my friend took a picture with me and Johan. I took pictures on both of the festivals, maybe the pictures are not the highest quality but it's all rock n' roll. And now I have bought a scanner so you can see these great peoples.
