Here is a little about myself. I was born in Russia, but grew up in Costa Rica. When I was 16 years old I moved to Sweden, and I have been here since then. But I feel that my roots are still in Costa Rica. That is the reason that I try to go at least once a year to visit my mom, she is still there, she is Russian but have been in Costa Rica so long that she is more "tica" than "Gallo pinto". She loves it there and have no plans to move anywhere else. Me I feel that Costa Rica is my home so I with my girlfriend Tunde are saving some money for an early retierment in Costa Rica.
My girlfriend is Hungarian, and has been here "Sweden" since 1984. We met in 88´. Tunde loves it in Costa Rica, she has been there about five times. She as me has a passion for different cultures and likes to travel to exiting places. The most of the people take charters, but pay money for see the same hotel everywhere you go...? and see nothing of the country that you´re at...? No thank´s...!
NEWSPAPPERS.
Costa Ricas biggest newspappers is La Nacion, if you want to know what is happening in the new country, but there are also La Republica, La Prensa Libre, or if you prefere something in english why not try the Tico Times. Other very intressting sites are Cocori, with lots of pictures and information, and one of my peronal favorite sites Ana´s welcome to Cosa Rica, it´s a very simple, but intressting page, once you start reading you can´t stop until you read it all.
CAR RENTALS.
Te easyest thing to do in Costa Rica is to rent a car, there are lots of car rentals everywhere, but I can recomend one in special, is Prego, the have allways latest car models, and very reasonable rates. The best prices "fast rates" are at the airport. But you can allways get the price down, not at the airport, they are very bussy. If you want to check out the car rentals, check it out on the net, you will find lots of companys. Tell them that you are a very good costumer, and you´re very pleased with the service that you had before when you rented a car from them, and give them a price proposition. You will find out that it´s much cheapear then the prices on the net.
