In a plant all process units must have comprehensive, coordinated process control.
Fundamental, overlapping planning for production, raw materials, and stop-time planning is critical for coordination.
Coordinated process control  influences all process units.
Even well-planned production-and stop-planning can be subject to corrections: e.g., unexpected incidents and disturbances.
Comprehensive, coordinated process control will include the following :

• Production planning and stop-time planning.
• Regulation of all process unit equipment.That means for example, control of the electricity from distributed external and internal net for quantity, quality, and power level.It also means control of the central production of steem and water as well as the quantity and quality of material flow to processes.
