As of late I've been flatout they elected me chairman of the nations electionboard... So for the last 2 weeks I've been setting up the election, and trying to find candidates... On top of that, my nation is setting up a "spex" so everyone is runing around and the place is a mess... managed to get tickets for mom, dad and Lars-Gunnar for the Thursday and on Friday after my exam Malin and I will go. Birthe has a party that night aswell so I guess we'll go to that afterwards. Then I have to set up the menu for the pub next week. I have free hands now that Frank is sailing along the swedish westcoast for the week ;) *evil grin*. Anyways I'm gonna go and make some food and then continue to study... :( cya!

So, After a weekend in Nyköbing Sjaelland, celebrating Frank's b'day (yupp, yet another year older our Frank!). I'm tired as a dog... Being tired on Saturday was understandable after being served an superb 3 course dinner with lots of wine and then after Frank's parents fled from the house, all these really, really strange but friendly Danish ppl started playing drinking games... we managed to empty the beer storage in the Jakobsens residence. About here is where a sensible person goes to bed. God, knows Frank's brother Karsten tried to but got pulled out of bed quite a few times :) Then Christian (not the imaginary one) found a bottle of "Gammel Dansk" Now, If U are from out of town if a dane say that word.......RUN! especially if they crack out the bottle at around 0400 hours... I managed to get to bed after a few shots + another helping of food (probably a good thing at that state). Next day I went up and raided the present Frank got from Malin and I... It contained painkillers. Then I sat in the kitchen talking to Frank's mother, waiting for the coffee to pour through. After a couple of minutes Karstens comes out and raid the same thing from Frank's presents... Then we have coffee. The day went on at a slow pace and in the evening we had another nice dinner with Frank's parents. On the Sunday we cruised back to Lund, to go to Birthes b'day party. Then it was Monday and now I've caught up to today's events! cya soon!

So, The busy prg continues... Novishpub today, mind U Frank and I aren't runing it... We're just showing up to get in contact with the newbies. On Saturday I'm driving to Bovallstrand to get the boat out of the water. This is bad as it means I will have to have a quiet night before, which could be hard as it's the same day as the novishfest. Oh well, we shall see how we go. I'm also going to pick up some furniture in Gothenburg from my uncle. so it will be yet another busy weekend. we have gotten a new bunch of novishstudents working in the pub. A girl from Denmark (yupp, I know what U think now we have 2 of them!!!), a boy from Canada (quebecois) and zee 2 german sheilas. we also got 3 swedish novishes in order not to get completly overrun :) Still next week Frank is also bringing a friend from Denmark so it's going to be a strange night at the pub language wise... Mind U all on the 27th of this month Frank has yet another B'day! So we are going to his parents in Denmark to celebrate it! Well, after I finish my test I have during the same afternoon that is... Anyways I better get going! cya

These are dark days...
In the last couple of years Europe has started to emerge on a brighter path. And all over Europe the politics have turned towards a more liberal approach. RED countries have turned blue and it sure has been a huge improvment for business and work opportunities all over Europe. But here in Sweden we have just had a very big setback. Not only will we have to put up with a fu**ing red government for the next 4 years, but also the newliberal party lost 8% of their votes... So a big setback for liberalism in Sweden. It seem like we have also lost the power in my local council despite the fact that we made a good election there. Moderaterna lost 8% nation wide, but we only lost 1.8% in my home community. It was enough to lose one mandate but it was still a vote of confidence from the local voters that we have been doing a good job on the local level. Osby was run by the Socialists between 94-98 and that gave us alot of problems in Osby. So the next 4 years will be bad. So far Sptember has been very very busy. Malin and I got back from London on the 31st of August and then it all started. Frank and I had the pub the following week with shopping and arranging with workers etc. Then of course classes had to start... ;) In about an hour Frank and I are going out on town to put up posters for the nation.

August 2002

Saturday 31/8-2002 22:00

Well, Malin and I have just returned from a 10 day visit to London. London was, as it usually is, packed with ppl, stores, pubs and all other sorts of things for one to amuse oneself. Malin and I stayed with Ken during our time in London which was really nice. The only thing is that Ken always get alot of things happening to him when I'm over. Can I really be attracting all those strange things happening? ;) Well, Malin and I were old enough to look after ourselvs so it didn't matter too much. and we did get a couple of nice evenings with Ken. One of them was taking the London eye and then head up to embankment for a nice italian dinner.

Well, Malin and I have spent the last couple of days here in Lund, recovering from a hellish cold which we managed to get despite the nice wather we had on the westcoast. But, now we are almost up to scratch. Had a call from a flash in the past yesterday. I picked up and it was Shaz! Looks like she will be spending some time over here in December and January :) Kewl! As for me I have accepted my place at economic history, for the Fall semester. I've just seen "We Were Soldiers" Damn good movie! Anyways, tomorrow we head back up to Bovallstrand. On friday Frank, Karsten and their former exchangee from Brazil is joing us for the weekend. I guess that's about all that I have time for now! get back to U later!

Well, A new computer and finally a possibility 2 connect through modem without stuffing the network. So.... What has happened? Well, alot of things... I have to get back to you after the summer as I'm going abroad, and back up to the west coast and the boat. Malin is still apart of things, although she's currently feeling the after effects of a night out at Lunds Nation ; ). When will they ever learn,Eh? Our bikes are still outside Lund's Nation as Malin was to unstable to bike home without training wheels. So I guess we should go and get them sometime this afternoon and pick up some food on the way too.
