About my interest in graphics:
I guess I´ve
always been drawing and doodling. In the late 80´s I started
doin a lot of painting with oils and acrylics. I was heavily into
Role Playing Games (I´m not a geek- honest!) at the time and
would always bring our adventures and characters to life. When I
bought an Atari ST computer took a stab at doing graphics and some
animation. I did some simple 2d animation sequences but I didn´t
find it very intuitive or entertaining so I pretty much stopped
after a while.
My interest
didn´t really rekindle until the mid 90´s when Photoshop
really started coming into its´ own. I never stopped drawing
during this time but it is only in the last three years that I have
felt the growing need to work digitally. I had gotten the chance
to do a mixed live-action/animation film and edit it on a SG workstation.
It turned out pretty well for the time I had to do it in and this
started the ball rolling, I guess. While at Hyper Island (see my
cv) I realised that my future would be an artistically creative
one and I started specialising myself on graphics and video editing.
I´ve gotten
my hands wet in a numer of different areas, but I´m starting
to feel pressure to focus more on one or two specific areas to exel
at. I already know that one of these will involve 3d modeling and
animation. One of my big reagrets is that I haven´t had time
in the last couple of years to seriously get into it as I´ve
had other commitments, but this has changed and I am devoting more
and more time to this. The thing is, I see all theses thing in my
head and I just have to and WILL get them out! I know have a ways
to go, but the potential and desire is there.
About the links:
The Five Cities is a game I´m
currently designing and this is some conceptual art that I´ve
done for it. It is my most recent computer graphics work and stands
as a prime example of my potential.
Buttons and interfaces from
various projects can be found here. Most of them are from school
projects, game ideas I have and web sites that I´ve created.
Misc 2d graphics is a collection
of both recent and older works. I apologise if the page is a bit
slow, but there is a lot on it!
Visual effects and 3d-modeling
is the part of my portfolio that I want to grow the most right now.
Still, you will find some samples to look at here.
