In a future where you simply order yourself another body when you feel ready for a change, the old question of whether death is a final state or not has become obsolete. Humans live their lives in four domed sheltered cities and the rest of the world is nothing but a torrid empty place, since the art of transmutation wasnīt learned until long after the ocean and all fresh water had vaporised.

The communities are ruled and taken care of by Quasi Robots who exists only to serve humankind, and everything should be like heaven on earth - or should it? The hero/heroine of this story is a rebel in truth...
