Has now staked a strong claim for the Brazilian national team and attracted the interest of a number of top clubs at the end of the current season, despite his contract with Udinese expiring in 2003. Joined Parma where he will link up with Argentinian striker, Hernan Crespo.
Says Amoroso: "I have not come to Parma just to keep scoring goals.
More than anything else, I'm here to win the championship. Parma are an ambitious team and I reckon that now they could and should win the title. At Udinese, the strikers got plenty of support.
Here at Parma, there's a basic difference, the players are even better and they're more experienced.
Crespo is king of the back-heel in the penalty area. And it's going to be really great to play alongside him."
