I originally come from a small village called Nyhammar (west of
Ludvika) in Dalarna (Dalecarlia).
I am born in Dalarna,Falun. I grew up in a small mining district , Graengesberg
we moved there when I was 6 years old.
I Lived in Graengesberg until 1980 then I moved to Borlaenge
to make my last year in senior high school.
I made the exam in June 1982 on a 4-year Building,Construction course.
My military schooling took place in Oestersund on the Artillery-Regement A4.
I was in Oestersund for 12 months and 3 finishing month in The Artillery Regiment
in Kristinehamn for the cadet school.
After my military service i spent few months in Sala .
17:th Dec 1983 I Started my career in Linjeflyg (the largest domestic airline at that time).
In May 1986 I came back to Oestersund on a job at the airport
on Froesoe Island.
After a short stop in Stockholm I took an assignement for United Nation,
UNIFIL,(United Nation Interim Force In Lebanon) i was there for 13 month.
I was stationed at the Batallion Headquarter in Naquora just 2km from the border to Israel.
My field of proffession is Travel, (we where not using Haubits Artillery ) so it
was mostly my civilian skills that was useful.
My title was TravelOfficer so you can imagine , it was a long queue in my office everyday.
I had a clerk working with me at the office so we could divide the work so that we had possibility
to have leave (vacation).
Our office was, I think !, the most popular one when the soldiers wanted to go to Cyprus,Kenya
or perhaps Rio de Janeiro.
Most Staff travelled on a Chaplain tour around Israel , other went to Egypt or Syria and
Jordan. But of course Eilat in the winter and Tel-Aviv in the summer was the weekendspots.
Later on my clerk ended up moving to Ireland, perhaps she hanged around on Camp Tara
to much. But anyway I hope she is happily married.
Back in Sweden I spent 1 year in Stockholm and the Airline Linjeflyg closed their office where I was working.
I had a choice to stay or go to another Location within Sweden.
Therefore I took the opportunity to move back to Oestersund and started
on SAS, Scaninavian Airlines.They had just decided to establish in Oestersund.
On the 1:st September 1991 i started at SAS.
Anyway, I did another sejour in United Nation again in February 1993, they called from Swedint, and after
6 days I was on training and preparation for going to Former Yugoslav republic of Macedonia
just outside the city of Skopje.
This mission Nordic Batallions first under the command of UNPROFOR(United Nation Protection Force)).
But we had our own FYROM-Command with a Danish General (Thomsen).
Our mission was to monitor and report , it was OP's (observation Posts following the border towards Serbia,Kosovo
and part of Albania. The border was divided by Finnish , Norwegian and Swedish soldiers.
My job was TravelOfficer as in Lebanon,at the Supply Coy in Petrovec(close to the Skopje International Airport !).
I was in Skopje 18Feb93-18sep93.
Since August 2000 I am working as system manager at SAS headoffice in Stockholm but since September 1:st 2002 I have leave for
further studies in economics at MidSweden University here in Oestersund and will finish in May 2004.
