 A brilliant navigator and pilot, the Sullustan was one of the heroes of
the Battle of Endor in his role as copilot of the Millennium Falcon with Lando Calrissian. At 1.6 meters,
Nien Nunb is tall for a native of the dark volcanic planet of Sullust but has the same facial
jowls, large ears, and black orbs for eyes that are characteristic of his people. Flying an old stock light freighter, the Sublight Queen, for the planet's largest company, SoroSuub Corp., he met and became friends with Calrissian. When SoroSuub decided to throw its support to the Empire, Nunb turned on SoroSuub, pirating its shipment and sending them on to the Rebel Alliance. Later he joined the Rebellion full-time, and Calrissian picked him to copilot the Millennium Falcon in its run against the second Death Star. The Falcon and Wedge Antilles's X-wing fighter hit the target, resulting in the explotion of the battle station. Since then, Nunb has flown missions with Han Solo and Chewbacca. He then went to work for Calrissian as manager of the spice mines of Kessel, using droids instead of slave labor. |
